Regularly creating and placing orders with suppliers based on current stock levels and sales data.
Analyzing historical sales, seasonal trends to accurately estimate future consumption based on short and long forecasts
Maintaining daily contact with suppliers, negotiating delivery dates, and resolving delays, claims, or production disruptions
Inventory optimization: Monitoring stock turnover, identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock ("dead stock"), and setting minimum/maximum stock levels (safety stock)
Working closely with the Logistics customer care, purchasing and warehouse, production management.
Regularly evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, stock level, forecast accuracy, and days of supply.
